The State Assembly of Gandaki today anonymously passed the Bill relating to good governance in the State.
In today's meeting of the State Assembly, Minister for Internal Affairs and Law Hari Bahadur Chumani tabled the proposal seeking endorsement of the Bill.
During the deliberation before the approval, the State Assembly members univocally argued that good governance was inevitable to meet the expectations of the public for development and prosperity of the public.
The SA members such as Indra Lal Sapkota, Kumar Khadka and Mayanath Adhikari among others expressed their confidence that the Bill would be an important 'milestone' to forward development works whilst ensuring good governance in the State.
Other State Assembly members such as Man Bahadur Gurung, Meena Gurung, Asha Koirala and Rajiv Pahar among others drew the attention of the State government attention towards various issues such as dillydally on construction works, delay in providing compensation and security schemes and the like that needed State's positive intervention immediately.
