Dr Jhalak Sharma Gautam has been elected to the leadership of the National Health Workers' Association, Nepal. The fourth national convention of the Association concluded on Sunday elected a 151-member new working committee with Dr Gautam as the president.
Dr Santosh Poudel is the general secretary while the four vice-presidents include ramhari Dhakal, Sharada Khanal, Jagat Nepali and Bhim Raj Singh. Similarly, Himalaya Tiwari and Amrita Baral are elected the deputy general secretary while Anju Basnet is elected as the treasurer.
The convention was held in Kathmandu from April 8. Twelve thousand health workers are associated with the Association.
