Kathmandu: Minister for Health and Population Pradeep Yadav inspected the National Tuberculosis Control Centre, and the Shahid Dharmabhakta National Transplant Centre on Sunday. During the inspection, he was briefed about hospitals activities and problems they were facing.
Director at the National Tuberculosis Control Centre, Dr Prajwal Shrestha, informed that the thoracic hospital was not operated due to short supply of human and financial resources.
In response, Minister Yadav committed to assuring budget to run the hospital.
Similarly, Transplant Centre Director Dr Pukar Chandra Shrestha complained that the hospital was waiting for a modern building to dispense its services conveniently. Shrestha also informed the visiting Minister of the services the hospital was providing at present.
Minister Yadav vowed needful initiations to address the problems the hospital was facing.
