The High-Level Coordination Committee for the Prevention and Control of COVID-19 has decided to extend the ongoing lockdown.
The Committee meeting held at Singh Durbar on Sunday concluded that the lockdown was only effective measure to prevent the COVID-19 outbreak therefore it should be extended. The Committee recommended it to the Council of Ministers.
According to Committee member secretary Narayan Prasad Bidari, the meeting also decided to make the quarantines stay effective with essential resources.
He further shared the decision of tightening the lockdown and encouraging the morale of medical and health persons.
