Home Minister Bal Krishna Khand has urged all the political parties and entire citizens to take part in the upcoming May 13 local level elections.

At a security seminar organised in Rajbiraj of Saptari on Thursday, the Home Minister asked the local administration and security bodies to work for the creation of election atmosphere to ensure participation of general public and political parties.

According to Minister Khand’s personal secretariat, the Home Minister appealed to the political parties that never participated in polls to join the citizens’ empowerment and development efforts by taking part in the election.

On the occasion, Minister Khand pledged that the government was committed to holding the local level polls in a free, fair and impartial manner.

Likewise, he praised the efforts made by security bodies and local administration for the security provision despite limited resources available.

Other participants at the event shared their efforts taken for the preparation of the May 13 local level polls.
