January 21, 2021     Comment Closed     Key Issues

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said he dissolved the House of Representatives and opted to go for election to take fresh mandate of the people as political horse trading of MPs had begun once again in the country.

Inaugurating the Second National Assembly of the Press Organisation Nepal here today, Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Chair Oli reiterated that the government and the party were determined to move ahead on the journey of development and prosperity by removing the obstacles.

"Cultural and every kind of attacks are being made on the nation. We should all be vigilant against this. We need to forge consensus if we want to build the nation and save it," he said, adding, "We are not the ones who harbor rage, aggression and prejudice. We are the ones who wave the red flag and not the ones who wave the black flags. We are clear on our goal and march towards a bright future. We have the obligation of building the country. We need to take the path of good governance and development."

On a different note, PM Oli said that the yellow journalism will itself go away and urged the journalists to write in favour of the country, people, democracy, stability and the truth.

Deputy Prime Minister Ishwor Pokharel, party leaders, government ministers and the senior journalists are attending the Assembly organized around the slogan- 'Strong Working journalists along with full press freedom for building prosperous Nepal, Defending stability, development and national independence: Basis of Press Organisation Nepal'.
