Indian citizen dies in course of climbing Mt Kanchanjangha

An Indian national has died in course of climbing Kanchanjangha, the world's third tallest mountain peak. Kanchanjangha is 8,586 metres tall.

Fifty-two years old Narayanan Aiyer died at an altitude of 8,200 metres while ascending the mountain, the District police Office stated. He was on the expedition from Pioneer Adventure Pvt Ltd. Ltd's Executive Director Nivesh karki said that a team has been deployed to pick up the body.
