Indian National Killed in Syria While Fighting for ISIS

An Indian national was reportedly killed in the Al-Raqqa Governorate this past week while fighting for the ISIS (ISIL, IS, Daesh).

Alalam - Syria

The ISIS terrorist was identified as Iman Na'im Tandil (Abu 'Umar Al-Hindi), an Indian national that recently joined the ISIS in Syria to combat the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) near Al-Raqqa.

During his brief "jihad" in Syria, Tandil participated in several clashes with the Syrian Democratic Forces west of Al-Raqqa City.

Tandil was eventually killed when the Syrian Democratic Forces attacked the Islamic State's positions west of the Tabaqa Dam in the Al-Raqqa Governorate.

The Islamic State's official media wing paid tribute to Tandil in a Telegram statement, confirming his death during clashes with the Syrian Democratic Forces.
