A jailbird has been found dead at District Jail. Jitendra BK, 42, of Panchadewal-Binayak municipality-6, who had been serving time on murder conviction, was found dead inside the prison.
Deputy Superintendent of Police at the District Police Office, Deepak Bharati, said that friends of BK enquired about BK and found him dead after he did not get up in the morning.
Relatives of BK have been called and post-mortem would be conducted after the arrival of the relatives.
Reason behind the death has not been ascertained yet and further investigation into the case was underway, he added.
BK, who was sent to jail in 2066 BS, had spent 10 years and six months jail term on the murder charge and was likely to be released from jail.
