Chairperson of Socialist Press Organisation Nepal, Sambhu Shrestha, said all journalists should fearlessly stand for truth in local-level election.
Inaugurating a gathering of Socialist Press Organisation Nepal Metro FM Chapter, Shrestha shared, "Since journalism is always in favour of progress, it is not rationale for any journalist to claim that regression is right."
Also the Deputy-Chief of Publicity Department of the CPN (Unified Socialist), Chair Shrestha stressed that media should play significant role to make election free and fair, saying free and fair election is the foundation of democracy.
Similarly, central committee member of the party Bholanath Pokharel opined that the Socialist Press Organisation brought together the capable journalists in an organized manner and that it would help prosper media sector.
Likewise, Spokesperson of the Kathmandu Metropolitan City, Ishwor Man Dangol, mentioned that media and journalists should work to create healthy people's opinion in favour of social justice and equality.
The gathering elected a seven-member working committee under the chairmanship of Kishor Kumar Sedhai. --
