South Korea's minor Justice Party says it plans to hold public rallies demanding President Park's resignation over the scandal involving Choi Soon-sil.
It's the first political party to make such a formal and robust demand that the president step down.
Justice Party Spokesman Han Chang-min says starting Thursday, the Justice Party will rally at the Bosingak Bell pavilion in downtown Seoul.
Party Chairwoman Sim Sang-jung told lawmakers Thursday calls for Park's impeachment and resignation are "spreading like wildfire" among the public.
