CPN UML Chairperson KP Sharma Oli has said Karnali corridor needs upgrading. Humla people should be ensured quality transport service by intensifying corridor works, he stressed.

According to him, the country will witness the wave of development after the election. He reminded that mega projects of development were forwarded during the UML government led by him. Oli blamed the coalition government that it slowed the development activities in the country.

He further said the people in the northern belt of Humla were facing problems of telephone, internet, road and employment due to closed border. "I've heard that the areas including Namkha Rural Municipality were suffering from telephone problem," Chairperson Oli shared.

He also informed that he had forwarded the talks to expand Karnali corridor up to Hilsa.

"Humla has huge tourism potential. But, transportation is prerequisite here. Development activities should be prioritized based on geography", the former PM said, announcing that he would provide education up to Grade 12 to three children from Limi of Namkha Rural Municipality for free of cost.
