Kathmandu’s independent mayoral candidate Sah continues to lead with 402 votes

Independent mayoral candidate in Kathmandu Metropolitan City, Balendra Sah has continued to lead vote count with 83 vote margin. He has so far secured 402 while counting 1,180 votes while his closest rival CPN (UML)’s Keshab Stapit got 319 votes, according to the latest vote count update. Sirjana Singh, a mayoral candidate from the ruling alliance, has got 202 votes and Rastriya Prajatantra Party’s candidate Madan Das Shrestha secured 53.

Similarly, the metropolis’s deputy mayoral candidate, Sunita Dangol from the UML has led the vote count with 530 votes. Her closest contender Rameshwor Shrestha from the CPN (Unified Socialist) secured 110 votes.

Vote count of metropolis-1, 2, 3 and 32 is underway, informed district returning officer Prem Prasad Paudel.

Of total 300,242 eligible voters at the metropolitan city, the voter turnout was 190,170. —
