Lamsal elected District Governor of Kiwanis Nepal

Tourism entrepreneur Mohan Lamsal has been elected the District Governor of Kiwanis International Nepal. The assembly of the international humanitarian organisation’s Nepal district which concluded recently elected him.

 

Kiwanis International has been working in child welfare sector and in Nepal it has been involved in child education, health and environment.

 

The newly-elected District Governor said the Kiwanis International would provide additional support to the children of the remote areas deprived of education and health access and as volunteer for mobilising assistance at the time of various disasters.

 

He said he would strive for organising health camps focussing on children during his term by further making Kiwanis dynamic in volunteerism. Kiwanis International’s District Governor for Nepal, Lamsal, said they also plan to build a hospital for children.

 

Kiwanis International is a volunteering organisation based in the USA. It was launched around 105 years ago in Michigan of the USA. It has its presence in 87 countries at present. There are more than 600 thousand volunteers.  Kiwanis International has divided the clubs affiliated with it throughout the world into 50 Districts and Nepal comes under K-69 District.
