Late leader Thapa’s contributions notable: CM Poudel

Chief Minister of Bagmati State Dormani Poudel has said that late leader Bal Kumari Thapa’s contributions to Nepali Communist movement are notable.

 

Addressing a programme organized on the 13th day of her demise at Hetauda Sub-Metropolitan City-17 in Makawanpur district today, CM Poudel shared that Thapa had led various political movements in Makawanpur district in different times.

 

Thapa had passed away on July 13 at the age of 76. A heart patient for long, she died in course of treatment at Hetauda Hospital.

 

Thapa was then CPN (UML) central advisor and had provided shelter to the party’s leaders during the Panchayat era when the party was banned.

 

Thapa had provided shelter to then CPN (UML) senior leaders including Madan Bhandari, Jeevraj Ashrit and CP Mainali among other senior leaders.
