A life size statue of people’s leader Madan Bhandari has been unveiled in Bharatpur on his 69th birth anniversary.
Minister for Land Management, Agriculture and Cooperatives of Bagmati State Dawa Dorje Lama unveiled the statue on Sunday amid an event organised at Gajipur of Bharatpur Metropolitan City-17 by Madan Bhandari Foundation, Chitwan and Madan Memorial Park Gajipur. Minister Lama said the communist government at all three levels at present is the result of Bhandari’s ideology.
He assured that sufficient budget would be allocated for the development of Gajipur, a place where mortal remains of Bhandari were received. Chairperson of Land Problems Resolution Commission Devi Gyawali, also Nepal Communist Party Central Committee Member, said ideology of Bhandari should be translated into practice.
Stating that 1.3 million families in the country have land problems, he said work relating to land problem resolution would be done within the given timeframe.
