The ruling CPN (Maoist Centre) has decided to co-work and unite with all the likeminded communist political forces.
The Standing Committee (SC) meeting of the party held on Sunday decided to move ahead with the concept of new communist political force.
The Maoist Centre and UML had forged electoral alliance in the last province and federal elections and later united to form the Communist Party of Nepal (CPN). However, the unification process aborted halfway within three years.
The Maoist Centre took the new move as its unification process with the UML could not advance as projected.
The Maoist party has also assigned the responsibility of department chiefs and province chief to its leaders as per guidelines given by the central committee meeting.
Party Spokesperson Narayankaji Shrestha said the responsibility to name the in-charge has been given to the province committee.
The leaders said that the organizational activities of the party would be intensified by nominating province in-charge and chiefs of other departments.
Similarly, the party also transformed the district committees into district coordination committees and the district in-charges have been named accordingly.
Furthermore, central representatives have been sent in some districts to lead those districts’ party organization. The party has been working to expand its organizations upto the ward levels.
In addition to the organizational expansion, the party prioritized the issue of the defence of national sovereignty, immediate support to the people in the time of COVID-19 pandemic and uniting all to fight against the pandemic.
