The health of Manju Malasi, mayor of Dipayal Silgadhi municipality, has been gradually improving. She was airlifted to Kathmandu on Friday for treatment after she felt difficulty in breathing all of a sudden on Thursday night. The mayor was taken to the federal capital on Nepal Army airplane (sky truck). She is under treatment at the Grande Hospital in Kathmandu.
Doctors involved in Malasi’s treatment have said she faced problem in respiration due to high increase in gastric, according to Malasi’s son-in-law and journalist Bharat Bohara, who is accompanying mayor Malasi. Malasi is the only female mayor in the 88 local levels in Sudur Paschim State.
