Media sector needs support from govt, political parties, Gagan says

Nepali Congress (NC) central committee member and former minister Gagan Kumar Thapa has argued the coronavirus pandemic has pushed Nepal's media sector in a critical state.

At a programme organised by Lucky Media House here Monday, Thapa said that the media sector was need of support from the government and political parties.

On the occasion, journalists Surya Prasad Adhikari and Dinesh Shrestha of Chitwan were honoured.

Leader Thapam senior artiste Nir Shaha and Lucky Media House's General Manager Hari Karki honoured Adhikari, Shrestha and many other personalities for their contributions to the society from their respective fields.
