The Ministry of Health and Population has urged the doctors studied MBBS in scholarship at Institute, council, medical college and health organization under government ownership to come in Ministry’s contact.

Senior Medical Superintendent at the Policy, Plan and Monitoring Division of the Ministry, Dr Pawan Jung Rayamajhi, has urged the doctors studied under government scholarship to come in Ministry’s contact within five days.

The Ministry, as per its plan to mobilize specialist human resources pursuing their MBBS education under government scholarship, is to ask the health institutions to provide such doctors for the prevention and control coronavirus infection.

The Ministry has asked such health institutions to file application for required specialist human resources till coming Monday.

Around 2,000 health workers have shown their interest to volunteer for the prevention and treatment of COVID-19.

Joint-Spokesperson at the Health Ministry, Dr Sameer Kumar Adhikari, said that the Ministry few days ago had asked for applications for volunteering in prevention and control of coronavirus infection and a total of 1,935 health workers had filled up the application form showing their interest for the same.

The volunteer health workers would be deputed as per demand and necessity of district, local levels and other places, added Dr Adhikari.
