Monday declared public holiday

Web Desk May 24, 2020     No Comment     General

The government has declared Monday a public holiday on the occasion of Id-ul-fitra, the festival of the Muslim community. The cabinet had decided a public holiday for today, but since the moon was not visible from Nepal and south Asia on Saturday it has been postponed for Monday, the Home Ministry has said.

The request to correct the holiday came from the Muslim Commission and hence the public holiday was postponed from May 24 to May 25, reads the statement released by the Ministry today.
