The monsoon-induced disasters – flood and landslides- have caused the death of 51 persons in different parts of the country.
The incessant rains triggered the landslides and floods which took the lives of 26 male, 15 female and 10 children.
Five persons died in Sindhupalchowk, four in Doti, three each in Rolpa, Tanahu, Dang, Palpa, Darchula and Gorkha, two each in Chitwan, Pyuthan, Dhading, Myagdi and Rautahat, and one each in Lalitpur, Makwanpur, Sarlahi, Khotang, Saptari, Kavre, Sindhuli, Jumla, Arghakhanchi, Kaski, Kalikot, Panchthar, Bajhang and Bajura.
Seven persons were killed in the last 24 hours alone. As per the updates shared by Police Headquarters, three persons died in Darchula, two in Palpa and one each in Tanahu and Dang.
Similarly, 29 persons have gone missing. As many as 1,268 persons were rescued.
