Motorcyclist killed in road accident

A man was killed when his motorcycle collided with a tractor at Gauradaha in Jhapa district on Saturday evening. Ram Hemaram, 40, of Gauradaha-9 died on the spot when his motorcycle (No. 2 Pa 3912) collided with a tractor (Ko 1 Ka 2479) parked on the side of the road, according to the Area Police Office, Gauradaha.

In a separate fatal incident, Rohan Rai, 13-year-old son of Krishna Kumar Rai of Damak-5, Jhapa, drowned while swimming on Saturday. The boy drowned while swimming with his friend at Lajeko Dam in Damak-2 and died on the spot, said Deputy Superintendent of Police Nawaraj Karki.

He said that the police have started necessary investigation into the incident.
