He made the remarks in meeting with Turkish Ambassador to Iran Reza Hakan Tekin.
The MP said that existing historical, religious and cultural commonalties between Iran and Turkey have important role in bolstering mutual cooperation.
He expressed hope that parliamentary relations would develop in the near future.
The Turkish ambassador said that the Turkish government attaches importance to relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Hakan Tekin said that expansion of all-out cooperation with Iran, especially strengthening parliamentary ties, are underlined by the Turkish government.
He appreciated Iran's stance about Turkey's coup d'etat earlier this year, saying that relations between the two countries have passed different examinations many times.
The ambassador said that national interests of regional countries, including Iran and Turkey necessitate that the states develop close cooperation on friendship and historical amity.
