The Mid-West University (MU) and India’s the Chandigarh University have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) aiming to exchange educational assistance and cooperation and promote bilateral relations.
MU Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Nanda Bahadur Singh and Chandigarh’s Pro-Chancellor Prof Dr RS Bawa signed on the MoU amidst a programme in Punjab on Tuesday on behalf of their respective sides.
The MoU shall remain into effect till the five years of the signing date. The MoU requires both the parties to do needful for the achievement of academic excellence, having cooperation in research projects, for promotion of quality education, creation of positive environment, and extension of the cultural and contextual development model by consolidating the bilateral ties.
MU lecturer Panchadev Bhatta believes the MOU would help build a ground for producing competent and efficient human resources as demanded by the global needs of 21st century. Senior officials and teachers from both universities were present in the signing ceremony.
