NC emerges victorious in Kolhabi Municipality

Nepali Congress (NC) candidates have been elected mayor and deputy mayor of Kolhabi Municipality in Bara district.

Ram Prasad Chaudhary won the mayoral post with 9,105 votes defeating his closest contender CPN (UML)'s Bharat Bahadur Bhandari. Bhandari got 8,307 votes.

Similarly, Laxmi Kumari Chaudhary has been elected deputy mayor with 9,088 votes. Her nearest rival Sunaina Tharuni conceded defeat securing 8,483 votes.

Earlier in the local election in 2074 BS, Bhandari and Tharuni, both from CPN (UML) had been elected mayor and deputy mayor respectively.
