The Nepali Congress (NC) has called off its annual tea party that is organized every year on Kojagrat Purnima, the concluding day of the Dashain festival.
On the day, the NC would also exchange greetings on the festival. This year, the NC cited the risk of COVID-19 and decided not to organize the event on October 30, according to NC central office’s Chief Secretary, Krishna Prasad Poudel.
NC has been hosting tea party on this day since 2035 BS to mark the return of its prominent leader BP Koirala from India to Nepal in 2033 BS with the national reconciliation policy.
