General Secretary of Nepali Congress Dr Sashank Koirala said Nepali Congress was ready to lead the government to solve present political problems afflicting the country.

Addressing a province-1 gathering of Nepal National Magar Association in Gaighat on Saturday, General Secretary Koirala viewed, "The split of CPN UML and Maoist Centre has not only created political chaos but also endangered government."

Nepali Congress is ready to solve the problems and avoid further crisis in the country, he said, adding that NC stayed in opposition by respecting the people's mandate for communist party for five years. But, NC emerges active to lead the government and national politics to solve crisis.

He further said the new government would be formed under the leadership of NC President Sher Bahadur Deuba which holds new election.

On a different note, leader Koirala reminded that Magar people had tremendous role on Nepal's democratic movements. The Magar people who are still marginalized should be brought to mainstream, he stressed.

On the occasion, NC central member and people's representatives elected from constituency-2 of Udayapur, Dr Narayan Khadka, blamed the present political chaos was created by communist-led government. Now, communist are no more able to solve country's problems, he asserted.

NC leader Bhishma Raj Angdambe viewed, "Only NC is able to resolve crisis in the country. So, time has come for NC to take leadership," he added.

Other leaders including Ramhari Khatiwada, Laxmi Pariyar, Pramila Rai spoke on the occasion.
