Nepali Congress (NC) has urged the Election Commission to speed up vote count in Syangja constituency 2 and Bajura constituency.

NC leaders including senior leader Ramchandra Poudel, Vice-president Dhanraj Gurung and central member Pradeep Poudel today called on Chief Election Commissioner Dinesh Kumar Thapaliya and commissioners, and urged them to carry out vote counting in Syangja-2 and Bajura at the earliest possible.

Talking to journalists after the meeting, NC senior leader Poudel shared that they had asked the EC to begin vote counting soon.

It was not justifiable to adjourn vote counting in Syangja and Bajura wherein election was held adopting a due process, Poudel added.

As the party Vice-president and Syangja constituency-2 candidate for the House of Representative Dhanraj Gurung has quoted returning officer that there was no election rigging and no booth was captured, the EC should begin vote counting, Poudel emphasized. —
