Nepal and the Sultanate of Oman signed agreement on mutual VISA Exemption for the holder of Diplomatic, Special, Service and Official Passports at Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Sultanate of Oman today.

Ambassador of Nepal to the Sultanate Sarmila Parajuli Dhakal and Undersecretary, Administration and Financial, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Sultanate Mohammad bin Naseer bin Mohamed Al Wahaibi signed the agreement on behalf their respective governments, according to the Nepali Embassy in Oman. Accordingly, those holding such passports will be allowed to enter, remain in transit, stay and departure from there without a VISA for up to 90 days from the date of entry.

This is expected to help increase official bilateral visits between the two countries, as well as other activities including transit visit. As Oman international airport is gradually developing into a busy transit, it is expected to help labour and other activities.

On the occasion, the two dignitaries congratulated each other for achieving one more milestone in the diplomatic relations between the two countries facilitating easier movement of officials of two countries. Several issues of mutual bilateral interest from tourism to investment promotion between the two countries were also discussed on the occasion.
