The government has planned to form an authority to examine the standard of health service and institutions.
Presenting the policy and programme at a joint session of federal parliament on Friday, President Bidya Devi Bhandari said the National Health Authority would be set up to examine the standard of the health institutions and services.
Similarly, the policy and programmes has mentioned the establishment of a nephrology and urology centre at Tribhuvan University, Teaching Hospital.
The government has further proposed to establish such centres in each State. The policy and programme has further stated to extend the quality and specific services at Sahid Ganga Lal Heart Centre, TUTH, Manamohan Cardiothoracic Vascular Centre, Kanti Children Hospital and Paropakar Maternity Hospital. It is stated that the big hospital will establish satellite hospitals in the stipulated places that would help combat any kind of epidemic outbreak.
Similarly, advanced quarantines and health desks would be established at International Airports and national border points. The policy and programmes further planned to ensure health insurance of all citizens by upcoming three years.
