A 36-year old woman who was admitted at the Bhaktapur hospital at 6:00 pm on Sunday died at 9:30 the same night after delivery.
According to medical superintendent at the Hospital Dr Sumitra Gautam, the woman complained difficulty in respiration and their best efforts to save her life failed.
Dr Gautam added that the hospital was closed and medical team that came in with her contact was kept in isolation on the suspect of COVID-19 until the PCR test report of the woman was revealed. The situation has turned to normalcy after her swab test was found negative.
The woman, a permanent resident of Sindhupalchok, was currently living in Chagunarayan Municiplaity-3.
