New variant of Covid-19 detected in Kanchanpur

A new variant of coronavirus has been detected in a youth returned from India. The man from Krishnapur Municiplaity-5 had returned from Karnataka, India two weeks ago.

According to District Health Office's Covid-19 focal person Siddharaj Bhatta, the person was detected with new variant of the virus tested in the National Public Health Laboratory on Friday.

The infected person is in isolation at home. Similarly, Social Development Ministry of Sudurpashchim Province stated that two other persons were detected with same variant in Doti and Dadeldhura as well.
