The major political parties have fielded their candidates for mayoral post for the Lalitpur Metropolitan City registering nomination on Monday.
Chiribabu Maharjan has registered his nomination for the mayor post representing Nepali Congress while CPN (Maoist Centre)'s Baburaj Bajracharya has been nominated for the deputy mayor post.
Similarly, Hari Krishna Byanjankar of CPN (UML) has registered his candidacy for mayor post while Manjali Shakya has posted for deputy mayor post.
Rastriya Prajatantra Party's Asta Bahadur Maharjan has registered his nomination for mayor post while Swarnim Shakya for deputy mayor, according to District Election Officer Goma Dhamala Ghimire.
