Nepal Red Cross Society (NRCS) on Sunday issued its white paper regarding the organization’s overall status.
Organizing a news conference at its central office, President of NRCS’s ad hoc committee Dr Netra Timsina made the white paper public at a time when questions have been raised over the legality of the NRCS for lack of organization’s renewal.
On the occasion, Dr Timsina said that renewal of the organization was the first priority. “Tax clearance and other legal issues including programme approval and monitoring from the Social Welfare Council are to be sorted out,” he added.
As stated in the white paper, the ad hoc committee has expressed its commitment to fulfilling the given responsibility adding that the election of the NRCS would be based on the situation created by the pandemic Covid-19.
In its 22-point commitment, the NRCS has stated to further strengthen its relation with Nepal Government, District Administration Office, Social Welfare Council, the media and donor agencies.
