Park Meets Senior Civic, Political Leaders to Collect Views on Choi Scandal

nepalnewsgazette.com October 30, 2016     Comment Closed     General

President Park Geun-hye on Sunday met with senior civic and political leaders to collect their opinions on how to deal with a widening scandal involving her longtime confidant Choi Soon-sil.

The presidential office reportedly arranged the meeting, in which the president heard the participants' views on how to contain the widening scandal.

The president is expected to consult their views as she is reportedly considering replacing her aides who are involved in the scandal directly or indirectly.

Park is also likely to consider growing calls for establishing a neutral Cabinet which can take charge of state affairs.

An official at the top office said that the president is taking advice from diverse people.
