The International Relations Committee of the Federal Parliament has directed the Ministry of Health and Population to widen the COVID-19 test through PCR procedure by immediately reducing RDT.
Noting that the Rapid Diagnostic Test has not been effective in testing the coronavirus infection, today’s meeting of the Committee directed the ministry to further manage the quarantines set up in all the district headquarters and local levels along the Nepal-India borders, shared committee member Dr Deepak Prakash Bhatta.
He further informed that the Committee has ordered the ministry to immediately announce economic package to increase the coverage of PCR procedure. —
