The federal parliament’s Education and Health Committee has directed the government to repatriate Nepali nationals stranded along the Indo-Nepal border after examining their health.
The parliamentary committee meeting issued 10-point directives to Minister for Health and Population Bhanubhakta Dhakal to immediately arrange for repatriation of Nepali citizens left in the lurch in the border in coordination with federal, provincial and local governments, shared committee president Jayapuri Gharti.
The committee also directed to make necessary arrangements including quarantine and isolation wards for the potential returnees and also coordinate with the concerned countries to place proper management for those who wish to stay abroad.
President Gharti further shared that the directive was issued to widen the scope of virus test in view of increasing risks of COVID-19.
Minister Dhakal was present in today’s meeting.
