A condolence message given by Prime Minister and CPN (UML) Chairman KP Sharma Oli on the demise of veteran communist leader Bishnu Bahadur Manandhar has been handed over to the bereaved family members at Manandhar's residence in Maitidevi.
Education Minister Krishna Gopal Shrestha, PM's Foreign Affairs advisor Dr Rajan Bhattarai, lawmaker Bina Shrestha and others reached Manandhar's family to hand over the Prime Minister's condolence message to late Manandhar's son Sunil Manandhar and other family members, PM's press advisor Surya Thapa said.
Manandhar died last Monday at the age of 91.
In his message, the PM said that he was shocked by the demise of Manandhar and expressed deep condolences to the bereaved family.
In his letter, the PM has recalled late Manandhar's contributions in the anti-Rana movement on Nepal's communist movement.
