Prime Minister K P Sharma Oli has sent a message of congratulations to Ms Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, State Counsellor of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar on the landslide victory of National League for Democracy (NLD) in the recent general elections.

In his message, the Prime Minister has said that the result of the elections is a testimony of the faith of the people of Myanmar in the able leadership of Suu Kyi and the popularity of her party among the people.

While recalling the State Counsellor's successful visit to Nepal in November 2018, Prime Minister Oli has expressed the hope that the bonds of friendship and close cultural ties existing between Nepal and Myanmar will be further strengthened in the years to come.

Likewise, Prime Minister Oli has sent a message of congratulations and best wishes to His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa today on his appointment as the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Bahrain.

In the message, the Prime Minister has underlined the excellent state of bilateral relations between Nepal and the Kingdom of Bahrain ever since the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1977. He has also expressed confidence that the existing bilateral relations will continue to grow and expand in the days ahead.
