Entire preparations for the May 13 local level election have been completed in Jumla district, the Office of the Chief Returning Officer said. The teams of the officials have already reached the polling stations along with the required election materials.
Assistant Returning Officer Toyanath Upadhyay said the officials have been deployed to the voting centres along with ballot papers, ballot boxes and other essential materials for the election.
A total of 496 officials have been deployed in 79 voting stations and 102 polling centres of eight local levels in Jumla district, according to the Office.
Meanwhile, Chief District Officer of Jumla Bijaya Kumari Prasain said security provision for the polls has been ensured to conduct the polls in a free and fearless manner.
In Jumla, 41 voting centres are identified as highly-sensitive and 15 others as sensitive, the District Police Office in Jumla shared. Over 700 security personnel of Nepal Police, Armed Police Force, Nepal, temporary police, Nepal Army and National Investigation Department have been mobilised for the security of the polls.
