Web Desk September 23, 2020     No Comment     General

President Bidya Devi Bhandari has extended best wishes to all brothers and sisters with hearing difficulties on the occasion of the International Day of Sign Languages today.

In a tweet this afternoon, the President has also appealed to all sides concerned to take additional measures for academic progress and career growth of people who are deaf through the promotion of sign languages.

The International Day of Sign Languages is observed every year on 23 September at the call of the United Nations to raise awareness of the importance of sign language in the full realization of the human rights of people who are deaf.
