The Ministry of Home Affairs has started a process to release leaders and cadres of Kirant Janabadi Workers Party and withdraw cases filed against them.

The process to release the cadres and leaders and withdraw the cases filed against them, which can be withdrawn as per the law, has begun after the party told that it would come to the mainstream of national politics and took part in local level election once its arrested leaders and cadres are released.

Spokesperson at the Ministry and Head of the Peace and Security Division, Phanindra Mani Pokharel, said that necessary process to release leaders and cadres of Kirant Janabadi Workers Party and withdraw cases filed against them has been started.

Talks were held on July 27, 2014 between the Party and the Preliminary Talks Sub-committee constituted by the government to hold dialogue with the political forces outside the mainstream politics. Several rounds of informal talks were held with the party based on that agreement. The Party has been carrying out its activities in the eastern Nepal.
