Prosecutors Grilling 2 Ex-Presidential Secretaries on Choi Soon-sil Scandal

nepalnewsgazette.com November 14, 2016     Comment Closed     Fashion, General

Prosecutors investigating the Choi Soon-sil scandal have begun to question President Park Geun-hye's former secretary for public relations Ahn Bong-geun and former secretary for general affairs Lee Jae-man.

Prosecutors are grilling Ahn and Lee on whether they were involved in leaking confidential documents and delivering them to Choi Soon-sil and whether they acted as messengers between her and President Park.

Investigators also suspect the two former secretaries were deeply involved in protecting Choi.

The two men are referred to as the "Gang of Three" confidants to the president, along with former private affairs secretary Jeong Ho-seong.

Ahn, Lee and Jeong have assisted Park closely since 1998.
