Prosperity likely from medicinal herbs, Karnali Province Chief says

Province Chief of Karnali Govinda Prasad Kalauni has said that the province can achieve economic prosperity through collection, processing and trading of invaluable medicinal herbs available in Karnali Province.

At a programme organised by Province Ayurveda Hospital Surkhet on the occasion of National Yoga Day on Thursday, Kalauni said that economic progress of the folk in Karnali was possible through collection, processing and trading of ophiocordyceps sinensis, Shilajit, rockfoil (Pakhanbed), harro (black myrobalan), barro (myrobalan) and other invaluable medicinal herbs.

He suggested that the three-layer of governments should unveil plans to ensure linkages of the herbs for income generation.

He also said that Yoga was needed for good health and urged the people to practice Yoga regularly to boost up immune system against the corona virus disease.
