The budget session of the Province-1 has been postponed on Sunday too. The 16th meeting of the Province Assembly was put off after the CPN (Maoist Centre) lawmakers protested in the meeting.
With the obstruction of the lawmakers, Deputy Speaker Saraswati Pokharel postponed the meeting until 2:00 pm Monday. The meeting was scheduled to hold discussions on the issues related to the Ministry of Social Development.
Meanwhile, Bagmati Province Assembly meeting scheduled for 3:00 pm today was also postponed. The opposition lawmakers are obstructing the session blaming arbitrariness in budget allocation.
An all-party meeting was held with the initiative of the Speaker today. It is stated that the all-party meeting reached a conclusion to hold discussions again on the budget topics. The meeting will take place at 11:00 on Monday.
