Chief Minister of Bagmati Province Dormani Poudel has said that the Land-related Problems Resolution Commission should accord top priority for the distribution of land ownership documents within this fiscal year by measuring the land plots of people living in unmanaged settlements in different districts in the Province.
At a review meeting of office bearers of the land commission from 13 districts of Bagmati Province and the office bearers of the High-Level Land Commission organised by Land Management, Agriculture and Cooperative Ministry of Bagmati Province on Friday, he said that the Province Government has the target to provide land ownership documents to the users of their residence area.
The government will ensure more budget and needed civil personnel, and mobilise resources to establish offices in its new policy and programmes to be unveiled for the next fiscal year.
He also pledged full support for the commission in its work execution.
Also speaking at the seminar, Minister for Land Management, Agriculture and Cooperative Dawa Dorje Lama said that the Commission should focus its activities for providing land ownership documents to the landless people.
On the occasion, Chairman of the Land-related Problems Resolution Commission Devi Gyawali said that the commission was working to collect the details of undamaged squatters and landless farmers in all 77 districts adding that the genuine documents will be thoroughly assessed to provide land to the needy.
On the occasion, former Minister Ananda Raj Pokhrel and others suggested the Commission to sincerely work for the cause of people.
