Ramthumki wins Nawacup football title

The Ramthumki youth club has won the second 'Nawacup seven-a-side football' tournament. The local club of Byas municipality-11 defeated Ananta Youth club of ward no. 11 by 2-0 in the final match held on Saturday to win the title.

Foreign recruits Domy Domy and Max scored the two goals for the winning team. Along with the win, the Ramthumki club pocketed a cash prize of Rs. 115,555 and the trophy. Ananta club won Rs. 66,666 and the runners up trophy.

Chief of District Coordination Committee, Tanahu Shanti Raman Wagle gave away prizes and certificates to the winners. A total of 28 teams had taken part in the competition that began on February 3.
