Release of new map based on party decision: Prachanda

Web Desk July 24, 2020     No Comment     General

Chairman of Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has said that Nepal’s new map was updated by including India-encroached Kalapani, Limpiyadhura and Lipu Lekh on the basis of party’s collective decision.

At a programme organized in memory of founding general secretary of the communist party of Nepal, Pushpa Lal Shrestha, here Friday, Chairman Prachanda said that a very good message was delivered that party’s decision was implemented by the government. “The party’s central committee meeting in February had raised the issue of publishing new map soon and the party secretariat too decided for the same on the very day government unveiled its policies and programmes for the current fiscal year and it was incorporated in the government policies and programmes,” he reminded.

He was of the view that rationale should lead the regime and party should lead the government. “It is unscientific if the regime tries to reign in the party,” Prachanda added.

Expressing reservations over the government delivery, he said that he was making best efforts to prevent the party from split. “Party is the thought and procedures. Lone cannot run the party,” he argued.

Also speaking at the same programme, NCP’s senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal said that procedures should be followed, but not the mentality of ‘I am the State’.

Arguing that one should reform the self for the interest of the communist movement, leader Nepal said that there was no option but to transform from the new veins.
