Relief materials stuck due to road obstruction

Relief materials brought for distribution at east-north part of Bajura district has been stuck on the way due to road obstruction.

 

The relief materials were stuck on the way after the obstruction of Martadi-Kolti road section due to incessant rainfall.

 

Different organisatios including INF and NNDSWO had brought the relief materials in order to distribute to poor families of Budhinanda rural municipality, Swamikartik Khapar rural municipality. The organisations are bringing the relief materials to Kolti.

 

District Coordinator of NNDSWO Roshan Khadka said that they are going to distribute relief materials to the families affected by lockdown and daily wagers. Martadi-Kolti road section has been obstructed from second week of July.

 

According to the District Police Office, the road section has been disrupted due to landslide as well as increasing flow of water level on rivulets. Tractors carrying goods worth millions of rupees have also been stranded at different places.

 

The organisation– INF is to distribute food stuffs, safety materials to 410 families of Budhinanda municipality, said Capacity Development Officer of INF, Tilak Bhandari.
